Group CEO
Alberto Nagel graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a degree in Economics and Business.
He started working for the Mediobanca Group in 1991. He has spent his entire career with the Bank, taking on positions of increasing responsibility to become central manager in February 1998, Deputy General Manager in 2002, General Manager in April 2003, and Managing Director in July 2007.
Head of Wealth Management
Francesco Saverio Vinci has been Group General Manager since 2010 and a director and Executive Committee member of Mediobanca since October 2008. He joined Mediobanca in 1987, having graduated in Economics and Business Studies from the Bocconi University in Milan.
Co-Head of Corporate & Investment Banking
Giuseppe Baldelli has more than 25 years’ experience in both domestic and international investment banking and has led some of the most important M&A, equity and debt deals throughout his extensive career. He developed his professional activities in Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.
He joined Mediobanca in June 2022.
Head of Consumer Finance
Gian Luca Sichel has been CEO of Compass Banca since 2010 and of CheBanca! S.p.A. since March 2013.
After graduating from the Bocconi University of Milan, and taking an MBA from the University of Michigan in 1996-97, he began his career working in the research department of the RAS (Allianz) group, before moving on to McKinsey & Co as a consultant. He also held leadership roles in the retail division of Barclays Bank PLC and the risk management area of Clarima (Unicredit group). He joined Compass as General Manager in 2008, and successfully managed the merger process between Compass and Linea.
Group CFO
Emanuele Flappini has been Chief Financial Officer since 2021 and is a member of the Italian Banking Association’s group of accountancy experts. He joined Mediobanca in February 1998, having graduated in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Parma , developing his entire career internally.
Group Chief Strategy & Investor Relations Officer
Jessica Spina joined Mediobanca in 1998 and is Head of Group Investor Relations and Strategic Corporate Development of Mediobanca. She graduated with honours in Economics and Business Studies from the Bocconi University in Milan. She is also qualified as an auditor (Revisore Contabile) and an accountant (Dottore Commercialista). She started her career in 1992 as a financial analyst covering Italian listed banks.
