New edition of R&S’s survey of multinationals (2005-2015), with a focus on software and web companies

This is the twenty-first edition of R&S’s annual statistical survey of major multinational companies. It covers 403 large enterprises, 331 of which are industrial companies in the manufacturing and energy sectors, 27 are telecommunications businesses, 23 are utilities and 22 are software and web companies operating in the web services (internet services and internet retailing) and software production (software products and interactive entertainment software) industries.

The software and web companies posted an aggregate turnover of €466,8bn in 2015; they are smaller than the other multinational groups covered in the survey but grow quicker, in terms of size, revenues and workforce.
