Maximo Ibarra graduated in Political and Economic Sciences from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome and took an MBA from the STOA’ Business School.
Career:
He has consolidate managerial experience (more than twentyfive years) in management positions in national and international groups in the telecommunications, media, Information Technology and Software sectors.
Now he is Professor of Digital Marketing and Digital Transformation at the LUISS University and LUISS Business School in Rome.
He has been a Director of Mediobanca since 2018.
He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Group Engineering Ingegneria Informatica from 2021 to 2025, Sky Italia in the years from 2019 and 2021, Royal KPN from 2017 to 2019, WindTre S.p.A. from 2016 to 2017, and Wind Telecomunicazioni from 2012 to 2016.
He has also held a series of other management positions: Chief Commercial Officer from 2009 to 2012 and Director of Marketing and Customer Operations from 2004 to 2009 of Wind Telecomunicazioni, Vice President of Marketing and Communication for the Benetton Group from 2003 to 2004, Vice President of Strategies and Business Development Services of Fiat Auto from 2001 to 2003, Chief Commercial Officer Italy of DHL International from 2000 and 2001, and Product Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing for Omnitel (now Vodafone) from 1996 to 2000.
