The Mediobanca Research Area presents the new edition of the “DAti Cumulativi”, the annual survey of large and medium-sized Italian industrial and service companies analyzed over the decade 2015–2024. Specifically, 1,905 Italian companies were examined, representing 45% of industrial turnover, 48% of manufacturing turnover, 44% of retail distribution turnover, and 43% of transport turnover. Foreign-controlled companies account for 48% of the turnover of those with more than 250 employees operating in Italy and 75% of manufacturing companies alone. Virtually all Italian companies with more than 500 employees are included, along with a significant share of medium-sized manufacturing firms.
