The 25th Report on Italian Medium-Sized Industrial Enterprises
Growth expectations among Italian medium-sized enterprises remain positive, although global uncertainty is weighing on future development prospects. For 2026, these companies forecast a 2.5% increase in revenues and a 2.7% rise in exports. However, more than seven out of ten medium-sized enterprises believe that heightened global uncertainty could result in lower revenues over the next 12 months compared with a more stable environment. Difficulties in recruiting qualified personnel also remain significant, affecting approximately 90% of companies.
These findings emerge from the 25th Report on Italian Medium-Sized Industrial Enterprises and the report “Italian Medium-Sized Enterprises between Continuity and Transformation: Governance, Human Capital and Geopolitics”, produced by Mediobanca Research Department, Centro Studi Tagliacarne and Unioncamere, and presented today in Siena.
