Sandro Panizza graduated in Economics and Business Studies from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome, and took an MBA in Business Administration from the Bocconi University in Milan.

Career:

He has over thirty years of experience in the financial sector (insurance, banks and wealth management companies).
From 2012 to 2022 he held various management roles at Assicurazioni Generali, including Group Chief Insurance & Investment Officer and Group Chief Risk Officer.
Prior to that he has held various management positions: Managing Director & CFO of INA Assitalia Assicurazioni S.p.A. from 2010 to 2012, Managing Director & CFO of Alleanza Assicurazioni S.p.A. from 2004 to 2010, and Deputy Managing Director – Head of Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Controlling of Banca Fideuram from 1998 to 2004.
He has been a Director of Mediobanca since 2023.
