At the start of 2014, CheBanca! launched a call for ideas, to reward and support the most innovative Italian fin-tech start-ups.

The result of a collaboration with Polihub, the start-up incubator and district set up by the Milan Politecnico, and StartupItalia!, the main source of information for Italian start-ups, the programme involved some seventy such companies with a twofold objective: to create a network to provide concrete support for young talent, acting as a catalyst for innovation, and bringing together new ideas, visions and projects relating to the fin-tech world.

The award ceremony for the competition winners took place in the course of the Innovation Week – Maker Faire Rome, the largest trade fair for makers in Europe.

The four winners received a €25,000 prize from CheBanca! and an opportunity to spend twelve months in Polihub, receiving concrete support from expert mentors in the financial world and from CheBanca! management.
